What we provide:
Testing is available for children ages 6 and older.
Testing is also available for adults ages 18 and older.
We test for:
- Anger Management
- Conduct Disorder
- Disruptive Behavior Disorder
- Oppositional Behaviors
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Reactive Attachment Disorder
What is testing used for?
Mental Health testing can be used to provide detailed information regarding mental health challenges and symptom severity, and treatment.
What is involved in testing?
Specific testing services are tailored to meet the individual needs of clients and consists of interviews, standardized testing, and/or observations. They also include reviews of previous assessments. Clinicians use the information obtained to provide the best diagnosis for a client’s concerns, identify appropriate treatment or services needs, and make recommendations to clients or their families as needed.
What is the process?
Testing usually involves at least 3 appointments
- A 1 hour intake/interview
- A 3-4 hour testing day appointment
- A 1 hour follow up appointment to go over results
After the testing appointment, the clinician will score and interpret the tests results and write up a report.
What is the cost for testing?
In most cases, insurance will cover the cost of testing. Private pay is also accepted. Contact us to find out more details.

David Nathan , PsyD, Licensed Psychologist, runs the testing program at Lakeville Behavioral Health. He has training in psychological testing at Fraser and the University of Minnesota and has conducted hundreds of mental health assessments.
